Our sponsor child Maria

As everyone knows, Kiah was in a wonderful foster family in China. She lived there from the time she was found at the age of 2 days old until the morning we met her at the age of 8 months, 2 days old. Her foster family cared for her deeply. After seeing how this type of special care makes such a difference in the life of a child, after coming home from China in November, we decided that we wanted to sponsor a child. We researched several different options for this and we decided we wanted to sponsor a child through the Philip Hayden Foundation. The Philip Hayden Foundation is a Christian China orphan outreach organization. They have several orphanages in China that mainly care for special needs children. There are many many children that need support.

We chose to support a little girl named Maria. She was born in July 2005 (5 months after Kiah) and she is missing all of the fingers on her right hand. When we decided to sponsor her we received a detailed profile of her along with about 8 pictures. We have cooresponded with her doctor in China and they send us regular updates on her. We just received a lovely photo presentation of her showing her growth in the last several months. We are so happy to be making a positive impact in this child's life.
