Our Halloween sweeties!!!

Our Little Piglet!!!

Mr. Incredible!!!

Kiah and Jake had a very busy Halloween this year. 1st they attended the International Adoption Clinic's Halloween party at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. They had a great time and were able to trick-or-treat through the building. On Sunday night they went to our church's Trunk-or-Treat! It was so great! There were over 50 trunks filled with candy. It is a wonderful outreach opportunity for the community. It was a super time and the weather was great. Tonight the kids went trick-or-treating through the neighborhood. The weather was perfect... mid-60s! It is amazing how heavy a little Piglet is after 2 blocks!!! Jake was Mr. Incredible from the Incredibles movie and Kiah was Piglet. Please see the pics!!! Jake remembered what to do from last year. This was Kiah's first real Halloween. Last year we were in China adopting her and we weren't able to do any trick-or-treating. One of Kiah's favorite words is "gloc-gluc" translation= CHOCOLATE!!!! When we were approaching the trunk-or-treat line she saw the open trunks and looked at me and said "gloc-gluc?". I said "YES! GLOC-GLUC!!!!" She smiled ear to ear!!! This girl knows her candy!!! Jake is really just the picture of excitement. He was happy each time someone put candy in his plastic pumpkin. He would gleefully dig the piece out and yell "Look Daddy!!!". At one point he was so happy he clung to Brandon's hand and just hugged it. I started to tear up! These kids are all joy!!! Can't wait for Luke to be here with us next year!!!

Happy Birthday Little Boy!!!

Today was a very special day. Today, our new little boy, Luke Kellan ZhongPing Baker turned 1 year old. Although he is in China right now, we made a double chocolate cake, decorated it with his name using candy corn, put a single blue birthday candle on the top and sang Happy Birthday to our new son. We feel confident that he could feel our love for him over the many miles from Virginia to Nanjing, Jiangsu. We are also confident that he received the birthday cake we sent him through Adele Hall at blessedkids.com. WE LOVE YOU LITTLE MAN!!!
